Maid of the Mist

The Maid of the Mist cruise that will take you right to the base of the Falls.

The Maid of the Mist is a half hour boat cruise, and have carried passengers into the whirlpools beneath the Falls since 1846.

The tour is available starting from either the Canadian or US side of the river, returning to the starting point in each case.

The Cruise

Boarding Times

Trips run approximately every 15 minutes from the Canadian and US sides of the river.
Open late April to late October, depending on weather

They supply you with waterproof rainwear. Take a water resistant camera.

The actual boats used are each named Maid of the Mist, followed by a different Roman numeral in each case. The boats were named for an ancient Ongiara Indian mythical character, Read Legend Under the Falls
